A wintertime Casa Real wedding is always a treat!
I love filming weddings of multiple family members! I feel as if we have a huge advantage in knowing the dynamic of the family unit, and it gives us more insight into how they are bringing all their wedding elements together. We were so honored to be commissioned to film Sierra & Michael’s wedding by her parents. We filmed Sierra’s sisters wedding back in 2012, it was absolutely love to see this family unit together again!
Lighting really played a huge part in making this event really shine! We love the inclusion of a gobo with the couple’s name, as well as a pattern projected on the walls. Many thanks to Amos Productions for the lighting and entertainment!
We see many different kinds of reveals / first looks in our travels. Typically it is the couple seeing each other, but sometimes the father of the bride gets a sneak peak at her dress before she walks down the isle. For Sierra’s wedding, we had perhaps my first bridesmaids first look. You can see a longer reaction in the above film, but I just love this still image.
We love seeing this! Both Casa Real and The Palm do an exemplary job at everything food related, and they have some of the best late night snacks in the business. From truffle chips to a french fry bar, grilled cheese and fries, to a doughnut flambe bar (This clip is from a different wedding at Casa Real), nothing gets guests ready to celebrate all night long quite like these late night options!
And finally, one of the special artistic perks of having a wedding in the winter, is the use of the breath for romantic and dramatic effect.
Enjoy their short film!
Fun fact: This was the first time I’ve ever seen a late night snack truffle (fried) chip station!
